Preseason Game 1: Clippers 103-96 Nuggets

It was an excellent opening preseason game for the starting unit who were joined by the veteran Paul Pierce. Jordan led the way with 15 points, 12 rebounds and 3 blocks. Paul also had nine assists.

The starting five led the team to an early lead, after which, Doc Rivers decided to give a lot more minutes to the new bench players. It wasn't a very impressive performance from the bench unit, and the Nuggets came within 3 points during the fourth quarter. However, ultimately the Clippers secured the win.

New signing Josh Smith led the bench with 8 rebounds and 13 points on 5 of 13 shooting. The largely new bench unit simply needs more time to get used to playing with each other, as shown by the poor shooting from every player on the bench (except Jamal Crawford).

Overall, a strong performance for the Clippers in their first game in the Staples Center.
