Preseason Game 2: Clippers 73-93 Raptors
For the Clippers' second preseason game, they played the Raptors in Vancouver. It wasn't as smooth as the first game. Joining the consistent starters of Paul, Redick, Griffin and Jordan was Wesley Johnson (Paul Pierce started in the first preseason game). Of the Clippers' players, only Redick and Jordan were playing well on offense (23 combined points on 9 of 13 shooting). The starters played most of the first half and although the offense was slow, the defense was there. By the end of the first half, the Clippers trailed by 6. Going into the second half, Doc Rivers mainly played bench players. The large number of new bench players lead to a lack of cohesion and the Clippers ultimately lost by 20 points. Kyle Lowry led the way for the Raptors scoring 26 points on 7 of 10 shooting.
